Jeannette Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of community development and housing. Jeannette started their career as a Housing Counselor at the City of Hollywood and subsequently held various positions such as Assistant Director and Housing Enhancement Division Director. Jeannette also worked as a Program Development Coordinator at the City of West Palm Beach. In recent years, they have served as a Housing Program Coordinator at the Urban League of Broward County and a Program Specialist at the Deerfield Beach Housing Authority. Most recently, they have been employed as a Community Development Director at the City of Miami Gardens. During their career, Jeannette has demonstrated skills in program development, community outreach, grant writing, and building partnerships.
Jeannette Smith earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Tuskegee University between 1979 and 1984. In 2012, they briefly attended Broward College to study Construction Management.
