Aaron Burnett, ICMA-CM, currently serves as the City Administrator for the City of Mason City since June 2018, leading initiatives in a city celebrated for its architectural significance. Prior to this role, Burnett was the City Administrator for the City of Keokuk from November 2015 to June 2018, where involvement in several boards, including the ICMA Governmental Affairs and Policy Committee and Keokuk Economic Development Corporation, was notable. Burnett also held the position of City Administrator in Humboldt from December 2010 to November 2015, contributing to various local boards and committees. Earlier career experiences include working as a Regional Representative and Legislative Assistant for Congressman Tom Latham and Congressman Jim Nussle, respectively. Burnett holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa.
