Arvin P. has extensive experience in urban planning and development, currently serving as the Commissioner of Development Services for the City of Markham since May 2018. In this role, Arvin is focused on city building, particularly in realizing the vision for Markham Centre and promoting sustainable development. Prior to this position, Arvin was the Director of Integrated Planning at the Region of Peel from April 2002 to May 2018, where responsibilities included regional planning leadership, corporate project management, and diverse policy studies in areas such as climate change and sustainability. Additional roles include Senior Policy Advisor in the Region of Halton Office of CAO and Deputy Director of Planning for the Town of Halton Hills. Arvin P. holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University and a Master of Public Administration from Western University.
