Laura Benson has extensive experience in corporate planning, consultation, and sustainability, currently serving as Program Manager at the City of Maple Ridge since 1998, where key responsibilities include leading the development of a Project Management Office and managing strategic IT projects. Prior roles at the City of Maple Ridge include Senior Policy & Sustainability Analyst and Director of Corporate Administration, with progressive responsibilities in sustainability and corporate planning. Prior to this, Laura worked at Zellstoff Celgar Ltd. as Accounting Superintendent, notably retained during the company's bankruptcy proceedings to perform contract work. Laura is a Chartered Professional Accountant, having earned credentials from CPA Canada between 1991 and 1997.
