Ariel Retuta, EI, MSc, is a Civil Engineer II at the City of Longmont since November 2019, having previously held the role of Civil Engineer I. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Engineer at NOCO Engineering Company from July 2018 to November 2019, where expertise involved the design of water/wastewater systems and utility services. Additionally, Ariel worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from December 2016 to November 2019, collaborating with Dr. Fernando Rosario-Ortiz on research regarding wildfire impacts on water quality. Earlier experience includes a position as a Lab/Field Technician at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, focusing on collecting water samples and measuring limnology parameters. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering, both from the University of Colorado Boulder.
