Sangha Barthakur

Urban Designer at City of London, Canada

Sangha Barthakur is an experienced urban designer currently employed by the City of London, Canada, since January 2023, and has been participating in the PAIE Program at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) since March 2022. Previous roles include records and information management intern at TRCA, where documentation and analysis of unauthorized land use were conducted. Sangha has significant academic experience as an Assistant Professor at Pillai College of Architecture from August 2015 to October 2021, coordinating urban design and planning projects, facilitating research, and serving on the editorial committee of 'Tekton.' Other academic positions include Assistant Professor at Guwahati College of Architecture, contributing to curricular development, and involvement in independent architectural practice and junior architect roles prior to these positions. Sangha holds a Master's Degree in Urban Design from CEPT University, a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, and participated in a workshop on Urban Planning and Design at CY Cergy Paris Université in 2013.
