Derek Burleson currently serves as the Operations Superintendent for the City of Leavenworth, Kansas, a position held since January 2021. Prior to this role, Derek Burleson had a distinguished career at the Leavenworth Police Department, starting as a Technical Sergeant in March 1990 and retiring in June 2016. In addition to extensive professional experience, Derek Burleson is pursuing a Master's degree in Information Technology Project Management at the University of Arkansas Grantham, with studies ongoing since 2012.
