Derick Tisdale MDiv serves as the Deputy Chief of Police for the Jackson Police Department since July 2020, where responsibilities include implementing corrective action plans and coordinating departmental functions. Concurrently, Tisdale has acted as the Public Information Officer for the City of Jackson since March 2015, focusing on media communication, public relations strategies, and maintaining favorable public perceptions of organizational activities. Prior experience includes serving as South Precinct Commander from 1994 to July 2020, overseeing criminal investigations and operational guidance, as well as holding the position of First Sergeant with HHT 2/278 ACR Tennessee Army National Guard from October 2013 to July 2017, managing communications and emergency response operations. Tisdale holds a Master of Divinity in Bible/Biblical Studies from Memphis Theological Seminary and a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lane College.
