Catie Jo Chappell, MSW, currently serves as a Recreation Programmer II for the City of Independence, Missouri, starting in November 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Youth Programs Specialist II and Youth Program Specialist at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA), where responsibilities involved providing sexual violence prevention programming and crisis intervention for survivors. Catie Jo also worked as a Special Projects Coordinator at the Jewish Vocational Service of Kansas City, assisting in various projects to expand agency capacity and community outreach initiatives. Further experience includes roles as a Practicum Student at both Jewish Vocational Service and Bishop Sullivan Center, as well as positions in marketing and operations at Influence & Co., Rainbow House, and Aon Hewitt. Catie Jo holds a Master of Social Work from The University of Kansas and dual degrees in Marketing and Spanish from the University of Missouri-Columbia, along with ongoing studies at La Universidad de Buenos Aires.
