John Dewey is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Prosecutor for the City of Idaho Falls since May 2023. Previously, John held the position of Chief Deputy Prosecutor at the Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney's Office from August 2022 to May 2023, and served as a Civil Deputy Prosecutor and Director of Human Resources at Bingham County from October 2020 to August 2022. John's extensive career includes roles as Chief Deputy Prosecutor and Deputy Prosecutor at Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney from February 2011 to October 2020, as well as a Law Clerk for Hon. Jonathan Brody in the Idaho Fifth Judicial District from January 2010 to February 2011. John holds a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida. Additionally, John obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Idaho State University.
