Greg Knighton is an experienced Economic Development Manager for the City of Hoover, overseeing the Office of Economic & Community Development since December 2017. In this role, Greg develops and implements strategies that enhance economic growth and improve residents' quality of life. Prior to this, Greg served as Vice President at the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama from August 1994 to December 2017, where responsibilities included directing business information and community development initiatives for over 60 leading Alabama businesses. Greg also held the position of Director of Business Information, managing marketing projects aimed at attracting corporate investment to Alabama. Greg's earlier career involved various analyst roles within EDPA, focused on data analysis and stakeholder communication. Educational achievements include a BA in Mass Communication from Auburn University at Montgomery and continuing education in Economic Development from the University of Oklahoma.
