Derek Barrett is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Police Officer for the City of Holland since April 2018. Prior to this role, Derek worked as a Police Officer at the University of Michigan from October 2015 to April 2018 and held the positions of Building Security Officer and Move Crew Supervisor at Grand Valley State University between August 2012 and October 2015. Derek's career in customer service began at Craig's Cruisers Family Fun Centers as a Park Attendant from April 2011 to August 2012. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University, an attainment of Police Academy Graduate status in 2015, and an Honor's Degree in General Education from Fruitport High School, graduating in 2011.
