Brian Sousa has extensive experience in parks, recreation, and community services, currently serving as the Senior Recreation Supervisor for the City of Hermosa Beach since July 2022, overseeing various community events and theater management. Since October 2016, Brian has been a Senior Certified Trainer for the California School-Age Consortium (CalSAC), dedicated to enhancing out-of-school time programs in California. Previous roles include Recreation Supervisor for the City of Inglewood and Director of Operations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica, where responsibilities included volunteer management, community outreach, and program evaluation. Brian’s early career included positions as Program Coordinator at YMCA Camp Whittle and Outdoor Adventure and Education Instructor at YMCA Camp Marston. Educationally, Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management from California State University, Long Beach, and an Associate of Arts in Communication Studies and Liberal Arts from Santa Monica College.
