Hema Gopalan has over two decades of experience in geographic information systems and environmental management. Currently serving as GIS Manager and previously as GIS Specialist at the City of Hattiesburg since January 2012, Hema has demonstrated expertise in GIS applications. Prior experience includes working as an Environmental Specialist at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection from 2003 to 2008 and as a GIS Trainee at ESRI India from June 2000 to June 2001. Hema holds a Master of Science degree in GIS and Water Resources Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Irrigation and Water Resources Engineering from MS University.
