Laura Shamion currently serves as the Utility Services Manager for the City of Gillette since October 2020. Prior to this role, Laura held various positions in procurement and sourcing, including Director of Procurement and Manager of Sourcing at Cloud Peak Energy, where responsibilities included directing procurement activities and managing sourcing processes. Laura's experience also encompasses roles at Rio Tinto Energy America, Kennecott Energy Company, and Antelope Coal Company, with a strong focus on negotiating contracts, managing inventory, and overseeing purchasing functions. Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Phoenix and an Associate's degree in Business from Northwest College.
