Karen Dixon possesses extensive experience in financial management and accounting, having served in various roles across multiple organizations. Presently, Karen is a Retired Controller for the City of Gainesville, Texas, overseeing the finance department with responsibilities in accounts payable, billing, and cash management since February 2013. Previous positions include Finance Director at Collin County Committee on Aging, Inc., where management of federal and state grants was key, and Director of Finance at TAPS Public Transit, responsible for financial and human resources oversight. Additional experience encompasses roles at KPMG Peat Marwick and Ernst & Young, focusing on expatriate tax management. Karen holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston and a high school diploma from JJ Pearce High School.
