Sheila Gagnon, BPE, serves as the Recreation Development Coordinator for the City of Fort Saskatchewan, focusing on the implementation of the Recreation Master Plan and leading various recreation initiatives, programs, and sport tourism efforts. Sheila's experience includes roles as Acting Community Recreation Coordinator, overseeing summer camp operations, and conducting extensive public engagement for the Recreation Facilities and Parks Master Plan update. As a Professional Skating Coach with Skate Canada since 1992, Sheila has coached athletes from beginner to national level and managed program budgets while enhancing recreational program visibility through effective marketing strategies. Additionally, Sheila organized a successful fundraising event for the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, raising $180,000. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Calgary and a certificate in Strategic Social Media from NorQuest College.
