Kenneth Mayner, MPA has extensive work experience in branding, marketing, and communications. Kenneth served as the Chief Branding Officer at the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, where they oversaw the development of branding and marketing strategies, managed the city's website and social media platforms, and supervised the print shop and mailroom. Kenneth also served as the Interim Corporate Communications Director and Graphics Manager at the same organization.

In addition, Kenneth Mayner held various leadership positions at the Alumni Association of Municipal and County Administration (AAMCA), including President, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and At-Large Board Member. In 2015, Kenneth obtained a Graduate Certificate in Web Design and Online Communication from the University of Florida.

Continuing their education, Kenneth completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Penn State University in 2017. Kenneth then pursued further specialization by earning a Certificate in Municipal Administration from the UNC School of Government in 2014.

To expand their skills and knowledge in the field, Kenneth obtained several additional certifications. In 2013, they acquired a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. In 2015, they earned a Professional Certificate of Social Media in Human Resources from Cornell University. Furthermore, Kenneth acquired multiple certifications in 2022 and 2023, including "Principles of Public Relations" and "Working with the Media" from the University of Colorado Boulder, "An Introduction to Accessibility and Inclusive Design" from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and "Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills" from the University of Michigan.

Seeking further specialization, Kenneth is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, with an expected completion in 2025.
