Catherine Wong is a seasoned accountant currently serving as Accountant III for The City of Encinitas since March 2022. With prior experience as an Accountant for the City of Solana Beach from October 2011 to March 2022, Catherine has demonstrated expertise in municipal fund accounting, financial administration, reporting, and budgetary analysis. Additional roles include Fiscal Service Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed payroll leadership and monthly closing processes, and Administrative Assistant for Finance and Public Safety, coordinating invoice processing and annual Open Enrollment. Catherine also has a background as a Tax Preparer for the IRS VITA Program, facilitating volunteer participation. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science with a minor in Accounting from UC San Diego, completed in 2012.
