Richard Hayes has extensive experience in emergency services and public safety. Currently serving as a 911 Operator for the City of Elkhart, Indiana since May 2022, Richard processes emergency calls and dispatches appropriate units, focusing on exceptional customer service in high-stress situations. Previously, Richard worked as a Campus Safety Officer at Bethel University from September 2018 to September 2023, where responsibilities included investigating criminal activity, enforcing campus policies, and ensuring the safety of the campus community. Prior experience includes roles as a Truck Driver for Lippert, a Delivery Driver while self-employed, and as a Volunteer Firefighter at Baugos Township Volunteer Fire Department from April 2010 to November 2014. Richard holds a High School Diploma from Jimtown High School.
