Tim Young has a diverse work experience in various roles within city management and planning. Tim began their career as an intern at The University of Oklahoma Center for Business & Economic Development and later interned at the City of Maryland Heights, MO. Tim then worked as a Senior Transportation Planner at the North Central Texas Council of Governments before joining the City of Durant as an Assistant City Manager and Director of Community Development. Tim later became the City Manager for the City of Tuttle, where they worked for over 13 years. Currently, Tim is working as the Assistant City Manager and Finance Director for the City of El Reno, a position they started in 2022.
Tim Young obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design from the University of Oklahoma, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Subsequently, they pursued a Masters degree in Regional & City Planning from the same university between 1998 and 2000. Later, Young pursued another Masters degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington, completing it from 2003 to 2005.
