Fernando Casamayor currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Doral since April 2023. Prior to this role, Fernando held the position of Chief Innovation and Economic Development Officer for Miami-Dade County from June 2022 to April 2023. From April 2014 to June 2022, Fernando was the Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Miami. Earlier, Fernando served as the Tax Collector for Miami-Dade County from June 2004 to April 2014, overseeing the collection and distribution of property taxes and special assessments. Fernando's career began as an Assistant Tax Collector and included roles as Special Projects Administrator and Budget Analyst. Fernando earned a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Studies from Barry University and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Miami Dade College.
