Gregory Parrish has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Gregory started their career in 1991 at the Dual Diagnosis Program as a Data Consultant until 2000. In 1998, they also worked as Technical Support at mich.com. Gregory then joined the City of Detroit in 1998 as a Planner and later became the Manager of Planning from 2004 to 2009. Gregory served as the Data & Technical Manager at the Detroit-Area Community Indicators System (D-ACIS) from 2009 to 2010. Gregory also held roles at Data Driven Detroit as a Data Warehouse Manager and later as a Data & Technical Manager from 2009 to 2015. Gregory worked as a Data Analyst at Collabera from December 2015 to May 2016. Gregory then joined the Great Lakes Commission as a Senior Project Manager and later became a Program Manager from 2016 to 2018. Gregory worked at WIT Inc. as an Analytics Manager from September 2018 to November 2023. Most recently, Gregory joined the City of Detroit as the Deputy Director of Enterprise Data for Data Strategy & Analytics in November 2023.
Gregory Parrish attended Cass Technical High School from 1982 to 1984, where they studied Chemistry and Biology. Gregory then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Michigan from 1985 to 1989. From 1991 to 1996, Gregory completed their Master's degree in Public Administration at Wayne State University. Subsequently, they continued their education at Wayne State University from 1996 to 1998, working towards their ABD (All But Dissertation) in Public Policy, Public Administration, and American Government.
