Michael Grimsrud RPP, MCIP, has a comprehensive background in urban planning, currently serving as Planner III - Land Use for the City of Courtenay since April 2018, after progressing through various planner roles within the city. Prior experience includes positions as Director of Research and Planner at G.P. Rollo & Associates, as well as a Planner at Urban Futures, where responsibilities encompassed data analysis and community planning. Michael also functioned as a Research Fellow at Transportation Research at McGill, contributing to significant reports for organizations like the Quebec Ministry of Transport and Metrolinx. Education includes a Master's degree in Urban Planning from McGill University, a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Simon Fraser University, and an Associate of Arts from Capilano University.
