Nelson Roy is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in various roles including First Aid Instructor and Lifeguard/Instructor at the City of Burnaby since March 2022. As a District Referee and Small Sided Referee for BC Soccer since November 2015, Nelson has demonstrated expertise in sports officiating. Recent experience includes serving as a Geomatics Co-op Student with Indigenous Services Canada from September 2023 to April 2024. Nelson was a Lifeguard at Simon Fraser University from September 2021 to March 2023 and a Trail Instructor at Pedalheads Bike Camps Inc. in mid-2021. Additional experience encompasses being a Deputy Returning Officer for Élections Canada in October 2019 and working as a Newspaper Deliverer for Glacier Media Group from 2014 to July 2019. Nelson is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography and multiple certificates at Simon Fraser University, building upon a strong educational foundation that includes a Double Dogwood diploma from New Westminster Secondary School.
