Rogelio Ernesto Chanes, MPA, MBA, currently serves as the Intergovernmental Relations Manager for the City of Brownsville, Texas, starting in August 2022. Prior to this role, Chanes held several significant positions including Assistant Athletic Director for Development at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Regional Director for the Texas Senate under State Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr. Chanes has extensive experience in development, campaign management, and government relations, having worked with various organizations and educational institutions. Notable achievements include raising funds for Teach For America and managing donor engagement strategies, alongside mentoring interns and overseeing political communications. Chanes holds an MBA in Financial Planning and Services and a Master's in Public Administration, both from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing.
