David Anton is an experienced Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional currently serving as the GIS Administrator for the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut, since March 2022. In this role, David manages various GIS projects, oversees a GIS Technician, and has set up a test environment for ArcGIS Enterprise. Prior to this position, David worked as a GIS Analyst for the City of Danbury from July 2013 to March 2022, where responsibilities included GIS consulting, addressing public safety GIS needs, and managing long-term GIS competency projects. David's earlier experience includes internships as a GIS Analyst with Progeos and the Town of Glastonbury, focusing on GIS web services and map creation. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems from Southern Connecticut State University and an Associate degree in Automotive Technology from Naugatuck Valley Community College.
