David Kelley is currently a Police Sergeant with the City of Brentwood, Tennessee since July 2019, overseeing the Patrol Division and focusing on community safety and policing. Previously, David served as a Police Officer with the Mesa Police Department from January 2015 to May 2019, where recognition included a Life Saving Medal and a Teamwork Citation in 2018, and being named Officer of the Quarter in early 2019. David's extensive law enforcement education includes 840 hours of instruction in policing and state laws. Prior to their police career, David was an Officer in the US Navy from June 2003 to March 2015, where leadership roles included directing operations in Maritime Special Operations and managing curriculum development for Special Operations training. David holds a Master of Science in Health Science Emergency and Disaster Management from Trident University International and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Excelsior University.
