Syed Zafar, PharmD, MPH, MBA, currently serves as Associate Director of Global Patient Safety at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities include managing core safety documents and overseeing the LINZESS Safety Review Committee. With extensive experience in pharmacovigilance as a former Pharmacovigilance Scientist at Greenwich Biosciences, Syed led the safety science for Epidiolex, being instrumental in the validation of post-marketing signals. Additionally, Syed has a diverse background in real estate investment through Zafar Properties and previously held positions that involved pharmaceutical sales, medication therapy management, and clinical pharmacy education at various healthcare institutions. Syed holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, complemented by a Master of Public Health and an MBA.
