Afshin Oskoui, PE, M. ASCE, PWLF, has extensive experience in municipal engineering and management, currently serving as City Manager for the City of Belmont, California, since July 2011. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering, transportation, environmental programs, solid waste, and field operations, along with participation in various Boards and Commissions. Prior to that role, Oskoui spent 25 years at the City of San Diego, where positions included City Engineer/Chief of Design, overseeing private development permit projects and the Capital Improvement Program, and Deputy Engineering & Capital Projects Director. Oskoui holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University and an Associate’s degree in Engineering from Sacramento City College.
