Thomas Purcell

Structural Operations Manager-parks And Community Services at CITY OF BELLEVUE

Thomas Purcell has a diverse work experience that spans over several positions and industries. Thomas started their career at Seattle City Light, where they served as a Maintenance Manager for four years. After that, they worked at the Texas Department of Transportation as a Resident Maintenance Supervisor.

In 2004, Purcell joined the City of Walla Walla in Washington as the Public Works Operations Superintendent, where they managed and directed all operational aspects of municipal services. Thomas also served as the second in command and Acting Public Works Director when needed.

Thomas'scareer then took him to the United States Department of Defense, where they were deployed to Afghanistan as a Senior Civilian Advisor. In this role, they assisted in establishing Afghan garrison facility engineering directorates and advised on various building services and maintenance operations.

Purcell later joined the King County in Washington as the Building Services Manager and Maintenance Planning Manager. Thomas was responsible for managing a politically sensitive Preventative Maintenance implementation project and restarting the implementation of the Maximo PM module for county facilities.

Thomas then worked at McKellar Corporation as a Mentor, providing training and mentoring to Ministry of Defense Advisors being deployed to Afghanistan.

Currently, Purcell is working for the City of Bellevue as the Structural Operations Manager in the Parks and Community Services Department. Thomas'sresponsibilities include facility planning, maintenance, operations, and renovations at multiple sites, as well as emergency preparedness, budget development, contract management, and personnel management.

Thomas Purcell attended American High School from 1976 to 1980, where they studied College prep. Later, from 1986 to 1996, they enrolled at Eastfield College and focused on Engineering. No degree information is provided for either institution.
