Maher Welaye possesses extensive experience in civil engineering and project management within municipal settings. Currently serving as Assistant Director for the City of Bellevue, Washington since March 2004, Maher has held various leadership roles, including Engineering Manager, Capital Projects Manager, and Transportation CIP Construction Manager. Prior to this, Maher worked as a Senior Project Manager for the City of Bellevue from February 2001 to February 2004. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from South Dakota State University, earned between 1989 and 1990, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Beirut Arab University, completed in 1988.
