David Guenther has extensive work experience in various organizations. David started their career as a Lead Stagehand at Meydenbauer Center, where they successfully managed a team of eight employees and operated technical systems for events. David also served as an MIS Coordinator, where they streamlined labor cost estimation and implemented energy-saving measures.
Later, they worked as a Contractor at Apptis for a short period.
David then joined the University of Washington Bothell as a Cybersecurity Support Specialist and Student Assistant, where they managed Active Directory and Exchange services and resolved user account issues.
Afterwards, they joined the University of Washington as a Network Administrator in the School of Forestry, migrating the datacenter, managing VMware systems, and providing tech support.
David continued their career at the University of Washington Bothell as a Lead STEM Liaison, responsible for maintaining computing infrastructure and supporting the CSS faculty and students. David also served as a Cloud Architect, leading the migration of services and systems to Amazon Web Services.
Currently, they are working as a Sr. Cloud Systems Analyst at the City of Bellevue in Washington, where they are involved in cloud systems analysis and management.
David Guenther has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Management Information Systems, General from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Bellevue College from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained an Associate degree in Business Administration.
In addition to their formal education, David also holds several certifications. David obtained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in March 2016 and the ITIL Foundation certification from PEOPLECERT in January 2016. Other certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate from Microsoft in August 2019, Security+ from CompTIA in August 2017, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon in November 2018, and CCENT - Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician from Cisco in June 2011.
