Brett Berntsen's work experience begins with their current position as an OEM Training and Exercise Administrator at the City of Bellevue, Washington, which started in April 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at the City of Issaquah Public Works: Operations as a Fleet Mechanic from November 2013 to April 2022. In 2012, they were employed at Honda of Seattle as a Master Technician for ten months. Before that, they served as an Automotive Technician-Team Lead at Honda Autocenter of Bellevue from February 2008 to November 2012. In this role, they managed a team of five Technicians and handled quality control and assurance.
Brett Berntsen has a diverse education history. Brett began their educational journey in 2006 and 2007, attending Wyotech-West Sacramento, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician. In 2008, Brett enrolled at Bellevue College, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Despite not completing a degree in this field, they continued their education at Bellevue College from 2012 to 2017, focusing on Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians.
Additionally, Brett has acquired two certifications. In 2021, they obtained a CPR/AED/First Aid certification from Merit Emergency Education. In 2022, they completed the Emergency Management Institute's Professional Development Series offered by FEMA.
