Cornelia Erickson, CPA, has extensive experience in accounting and auditing, currently serving as a Tax Auditor for the City of Arvada since January 2014. In this role, Cornelia researches, plans, and conducts audits for various industries, while engaging with taxpayers to explain the audit process. Prior to this position, Cornelia worked as a Staff Accountant at Barsch & Associates, CPAs, where responsibilities included preparing tax returns and financial statements and resolving discrepancies. Cornelia's earlier career included roles as a Bookkeeper and a customer service representative, as well as experience in media as a reporter, editor, and TV host. Cornelia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Regis University, an Associate’s Degree in Applied Technology from the Community College of Aurora, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Bucharest.
