Casandra Eames is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion as the current Coordinator for the City of Ames, Iowa, since March 2023. Prior to this role, Eames served as a Bilingual Legal Assistant at the Story County Attorneys Office from May 2015 to March 2023, where effective communication and collaboration were key in addressing organizational needs. Eames also has a background as a Detention Officer at Story County Jail, facilitating behavioral change and maintaining security, and as a Bilingual Family Based Services Counselor with Youth and Shelter Services, providing critical coaching and support. Eames began their career in art education as the Art Education Coordinator at the Octagon Center for the Arts and also worked as a Bilingual Family Development Specialist at Mid-Iowa Community Action. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University Global and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Iowa State University.
