Sofia Gilary is a skilled professional with extensive experience in nutrition and culinary education. Currently serving as the Nutrition and Culinary Education Manager at City Harvest since September 2019, Sofia previously held the role of Nutrition and Culinary Coordinator Intern. In addition, Sofia has been a caterer at Grand Prix New York Racing and Entertainment since October 2016, providing services for various events. Volunteer work includes serving as a Nutrition Educator for Edible Schoolyard NYC, teaching nutrition lessons to elementary students. Early roles included Senior Counselor at Bedford Hills Day Camp and research mentorship at Veenema Lab, focusing on the effects of oxytocin related to autism. Sofia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Hunter College and is completing a degree in Public Health, Foods, Nutrition, and Wellness Studies at The Graduate Center, City University of New York.
