Maura Marino is an accomplished education and nonprofit leader currently serving as a Partner at City Fund since November 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Advisor and Chief Executive Officer at Education Forward DC from July 2016 to March 2023, and Managing Partner, Principal, and Associate Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund between August 2008 and June 2016. Maura began a career in education as Lead Teacher at East Palo Alto High School from August 2002 to June 2006, and briefly served as an Education Pioneer Fellow at KIPP Foundation in June 2007. Maura holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Stanford University.
