Alex Allam is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on civic engagement, immigration, and social justice. Currently serving as a Legal Extern in the office of San Francisco Supervisor Matt Haney and as a Legal Fellow at Immigrants Rising, Alex has previously held positions including Gender Equity & LGBTQ Rights Law Clerk at Legal Aid at Work and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Counselor. Alex’s early experience includes a Legislative Intern role for Senator Robert M. Hertzberg, where responsibilities involved legislative research and graphic design. Alex holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara, emphasizing International Relations and American Politics. Activities have included mentoring undocumented students, coordinating community events, and conducting research on significant legislative issues.
