Brian Firooz is a seasoned leader in operations and social equity initiatives, currently serving as the Deputy Director at the Office of Social Equity and Innovation within the City and County of Denver, a role commenced in July 2024. Previously, Brian held various leadership positions, including Family Economic Mobility Manager at Gary Community Ventures and Senior Operations Manager at MainStreet. With a strong focus on enhancing equity and inclusion in educational and organizational settings, Brian's experience encompasses running daily operations for multiple educational disciplines, improving DEI awareness, and successfully transitioning programs to remote formats during the COVID-19 pandemic. The career path includes significant contributions at Denver Kids Inc, where Brian led talent and culture initiatives, and Steve Spangler Science, overseeing operations and human resources. Brian holds a BS in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Northern Colorado.
