Nils Dijk is a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft since February 2019, focusing on the development of the Citus extension for the PostgreSQL database. Dijk has also been a Software Engineer at Citus Data since May 2018 and previously worked as a Software Engineer at Uber from September 2015 to November 2017. Prior to that, Dijk served as a Backend Engineer at Bottlenose from May 2013 to September 2015 and as a Software Engineer at Kerring from August 2010 to April 2013, where the focus was on automation software for radio stations. Dijk's earlier experience includes a role as an Application Consultant at Vattenfall Energy Trading and an internship at NIKHEF. Dijk holds a Bachelor's degree in Technical Computing from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, which was completed in 2012.
