Tania R. Iqbal, PhD, CMPP has a diverse work experience in the field of medical and scientific research. Tania R. is currently serving as an Associate Scientific Director at The Curry Rockefeller Group, LLC, where they started in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Medical Writer at the same company from July 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining The Curry Rockefeller Group, Tania worked at ICON plc as a Medical Writer II from April 2021 to June 2021, and as a Medical Writer from January 2018 to April 2021.

Tania R. also has research experience in academia. Tania R. served as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University from June 2015 to October 2017, where their research focused on the branching of nerve cells and understanding the mechanisms underlying their formation. Prior to that, they were a PhD Candidate in the Neuroscience Program at Michigan State University from September 2009 to June 2015. Their research there involved studying neural regeneration and inflammation in the mouse olfactory epithelium.

Tania's academic journey began at Western Michigan University, where they pursued a Masters in Biological Sciences from 2007 to 2009. Their research project focused on the plasticity of the adult central nervous system using the olfactory system of zebrafish as a model.

Tania R. also worked as a Research Technician at Henry Ford Health System in 2005, where they contributed to research on the modulatory role of adventitial vascular tissue in vascular function and structure. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at the same institution in 2004, investigating the role of fibroblasts in vascular adventitia and their effect on medial hypertrophy.

Throughout their career, Tania has demonstrated a strong background in medical and scientific research, with a focus on neuroscience, neurobiology, and vascular biology. Tania R. is also a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP), highlighting their expertise in the field of medical communication and publication.

Tania R. Iqbal, PhD, CMPP has a comprehensive education history that spans over several years. Tania R. began their academic journey at Kalamazoo College from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology and Psychology. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biological Sciences at Western Michigan University from 2007 to 2009. Building on their academic foundation, Tania went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the Neuroscience PhD Program at Michigan State University from 2009 to 2015. Their knowledge and expertise in the field are further exemplified by their certification as a Certified Medical Publication Professionalā„¢, obtained from the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) in July 2020.
