Mauricio Cortes is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as Partner and Head of the Mexico Office at ACON Investments since September 2009. In addition to this role, Mauricio holds board positions at prominent firms such as Actinver, Grupo GMI, and Citla Energy, contributing extensive expertise in wealth management, modular construction, and the oil and gas sector. Previously, Mauricio was involved with the Mexican Association of PE & VC Funds as a Board Member and President of the Growth Equity Committee. With earlier experience at Betterware Mexico, Hidrotenencias, S.A., and Waldos Dolar Mart Co., alongside roles at GP Investments and Citi, Mauricio has built a robust career in private equity and investment banking. Educational credentials include an MBA from Stanford University and BS degrees in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
