Esther Eriksson von Allmen is a Research Associate at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) since June 2023, following a previous role as Research Associate at the National Security Policy Center from June 2022 to May 2023. Esther gained experience as an Open Governance Research Intern at The Brookings Institution and as a Liberty & National Security Research Intern at the Brennan Center for Justice. Esther's writing expertise is showcased through positions such as Staff Writer and Investigations Editor for the Virginia Review of Politics, Writing Fellow at The Nation, and Editorial Intern at The American Prospect. Previous roles also include Research Assistant at Synthesis Films Inc., Legislative and Communications Intern for the DC City Council, and Podcast and Video Creation Intern at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia. Esther holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia, with educational background from the National Cathedral School.
