Ainur Merziyasheva is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the banking and corporate sectors. Currently serving as a Vice President at Citi since January 2017, Ainur has provided strategic compliance advice to senior stakeholders and advocated for legislative changes that benefit the banking sector in Kazakhstan. Previously, as Corporate Legal Counsel at British American Tobacco, Ainur developed a sanctions screening process and advised on various legal matters. Ainur has also held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at HSBC Bank, contributing to M&A transactions and the development of a fully digital banking platform.
