Younghak Kwon has gained a diverse range of work experience over the years. In 2007, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at Hanyang University, conducting research on functional inequalities and the stability of functional equations. Younghak also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Korean Mathematical Society from 2009 to 2011, training high school students for the International Mathematical Olympiad. From 2011 to 2012, they served as a Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Army. In 2013 and 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Intern at Seoul National University. In 2020, they interned at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, where they developed a Named Entity Recognition model for Korean language using Deep Learning. From 2015 to 2021, they were involved with the University of California, Los Angeles, where they served as a Graduate Student Instructor, Graduate Student Researcher, and Teaching Assistant. Currently, since 2021, they are working as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities.
Younghak Kwon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Seoul National University, completing their studies in the period from 2009 to 2015. Younghak then pursued further education at UCLA, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics. This degree was completed between the years 2015 and 2020.
