Xiaoou Zhang has work experience in both academia and the finance industry. They started working at Carnegie Mellon University in 2014 as a Teaching Assistant and later transitioned into a Research Assistant role from June 2015 to May 2019. In 2019, Xiaoou Zhang joined Citadel Securities as a Quantitative Researcher.

Xiaoou Zhang began their education at the University of Science and Technology of China, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, they furthered their studies by earning a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University from 2014 to 2019.
