Lily Yang's work experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Citadel Securities since September 2022, a Software Engineer Intern at Citadel Securities from June 2022 to August 2022, a Software Engineer Intern at Scale AI from January 2022 to May 2022, and a Course Staff member at the University of California, Berkeley from September 2020 to January 2022. Additionally, they served as the Internal Vice President of Berkeley Consulting from September 2019 to January 2022, a Software Engineer Intern at TikTok from May 2021 to August 2021, a Computer Vision Intern at 4D Sight from June 2020 to August 2020, and an Intern at Picovoice from January 2020 to August 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Yanik Nanoengineering Lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz's Jack Baskin School of Engineering from June 2018 to August 2018, and as a Research Assistant at the Palkovacs Freshwater Lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz from June 2017 to August 2017.

Lily Yang pursued their education at UC Berkeley College of Engineering from 2019 to 2021. During this time, they studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and completed their Bachelor's degree. In December 2021, they obtained a Bachelor of Science certification from the University of California, Berkeley.
