Kexin Yi has extensive work experience in various research and engineering roles. From 2014 to 2015, Kexin served as a Caltech Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at both Caltech and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2016, Kexin worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft. Kexin then pursued a PhD at Harvard University from 2016 to 2021. During their studies, they also interned at DeepMind in 2019 and Facebook AI Research in 2020. Kexin's most recent position is as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities, starting in July 2021.

From 2013 to 2016, Kexin Yi attended Caltech, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. Following this, from 2016 to 2021, Kexin Yi pursued further education at Harvard University and successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics.
