Ian Laing has a work history that spans over several years in the finance industry. Ian began their career as an Equity Trader at UBS in 1995, where they worked until 2000. From 2000 to 2014, Ian worked as a Trader at CSS LLC. Following that, they joined FT Options LLC as a Trading Analyst, a position they held until 2017. Ian currently works as an Analyst at Citadel Securities, a position they have held since 2017.

Ian Laing completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance and Strategic Management at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1990 to 1994.
